Ever had someone ask you this question or maybe it’s close cousin:
‘What church do you go to?’
I wonder what the apostle Pauls response would have been?
We know that he wrote to the church in Corinth, the church in Philippi, the church in Colosse, the church in Rome.
He also greets the church that meets in the home of Priscilla and Aquila,
the church that meets in the home of Philemon and so on.
Imagine if we started to refer to church in those sort of terms these days.
‘So what church do you go to?’
‘I don’t go to church, but I am part of the church in Nottingham!’
‘Oh, really? Where do you meet?’
‘We meet at the home of Johnny+Louise.’
‘Oh, right…so you’re a sect then!?’
