[Figure 1: The Landscape]
I have been thinking deeper about the components that make up a society. It’s hard to see where some spheres end and others begin. I think there are many overlaps. But here is another attempt:
1. Home/Family/Social
2. Spiritual/Religion
3. Education/Training/Research
4. Business/Economy/Retail
5. Government/Politics/Law+Order/Military/Civil Service
6. Media/Communications
7. Arts/Music/Entertainment/Sports
Where do these fit into the 7 spheres?
- Science, Technology, Agriculture
- Infrastructure (such as roads, transport etc)
- Trades
- Health/Medicine
Are there other overarching Spheres that make up a Society?

Interesting that all seven can be contained in the first
I would say health and medicine in most countries either come under business or government (or both). Infrastructure is government in a majority of cases, science, technology and agriculture can come under education or business – depending on what aspect you are talking about… my 2 cents!
Thanks for your comment Daudi! That’s really useful!
Have you thought of including an 8th? Science and Technology? That would encompass Research, Health, Medicine, Infraestructure (engineering).
Trade is part of economics.
